Today is Eid ul-Fitr. This day marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Tradition calls for performing Islamic prayers out on the open field during Eid. What better place to do it but Astoria Park. This morning hundreds of Muslims gathered on the great hill of Astoria Park to perform salaat.
