NY Daily News: Master plans drawn up to refurbish Historic Astoria Park Pool into year-round facility

I always thought that Astoria Park for the most part is way underused during the winter months. I'd like to see an outdoor ice-skate rink similar to Wollman Rink in Manhattan. Just imagine ice skating with between the bridges and the East River rolling by on the background.
